ABOUT US
Founded in September of 2017, Shepherd’s Way is an all-volunteer charitable organization that extends a helping hand to the unhoused and to individuals who are dealing with food insecurity. For people who are facing such difficult circumstances, our organization offers the following programs:
Shepherd’s Way Street Outreach –
Offers free packaged food/snacks, water, clothing, tarps, and hygiene items to people who live outdoors trying to survive the elements. This program is busiest in the warmer months and delivers thousands of items to the unhoused.
Partner’s Program –
Our ‘Partner’s Program‘ supplies packaged foods/snacks, water, hygiene items, and clothing to warming stations and shelters where the homeless congregate to escape the elements. Most warming stations and shelters can only provide so much, so we try to fill in the gaps when we have the resources to do so. In many instances what we provide is all that the unhoused homeless get to eat in any given day.
Help with Basics –
Shepherd’s Way offers a program called ‘Help with Basics’ which is available to individuals who are experiencing temporary food insecurity. It operates on a ‘one-time only’ basis providing an emergency grocery bag containing basic food staples, canned goods, protein options, fresh produce when available, and hygiene items. No questions asked. No forms to fill out. If people in our service area (Greater Manchester Area of New Hampshire) need a little extra help to get them through for a few days, all they need to do is contact us and we’ll help them discreetly and with dignity with a one-time bag/box of food staples.

VOLUNTEER- We are an all-volunteer organization and have many volunteer opportunities available for you.
Join our Shepherd’s Way Outreach Team > Take to the streets with us delivering items to the unhoused, or help prepare items for delivery.
Become a Program Sponsor > Form a knitting club and make hats for our outreach. Hold Clothing Drives to collect in-season clothing for our outreach to distribute on the streets or at warming stations.
Do Fundraising > We’re always in need of people with fundraising experience to help us.
Work in our Business Operations > Work as a volunteer staffer or serve on our Board of Directors.
