We don’t take pictures of our homeless encounters as a rule because we want to protect the dignity of those we assist. Others do it and we assume when we see hundreds if not thousands of people re-posting their videos/photos/stories etc that the creators of such materials have gotten the permission of the homeless individual(s) to do it.
Our purpose for showing these materials on our page is to share their messages of goodness and positivity, and the spiritual reward that comes from helping some of society’s most vulnerable. It’s such a great feeling to know that we can make a difference in this world if we try.
As the new year approaches, on behalf of the board of directors of Shepherd’s Way, our volunteers, and the many thousands of people that we’ve helped over the years, I want to wish you all a very happy and prosperous 2026, and hope that you’ll join us moving forward into what will be our ninth full year of helping those in need.
