Thank God for our volunteers because without them we couldn’t do what we do at Shepherd’s Way. They are not just the backbone of our organization. They’re everything. Between our street outreach and what we do with resource centers our volunteers handle hundreds of items each week. They’re in stores making purchases and ordering online.… Read more

Away We Go
We’re all geared up to do our Help With Basics outreach this weekend. We put together approximately 100 snack packs and hygiene kits and purchased a bunch of bottles of water. Good to go! Read more

Gearing Up
Gearing up for big activity during the next five months with our Help With Basics program. We just made a huge purchase of razors, hand sanitizer, shave cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, feminine hygiene products, antiseptic ointments, lip balm, plastic combs, adhesive bandages, ziploc bags, 50-gallon heav- gauge trash bags. Handing Out Blankets
Each Fall we get 200 wool blankets and 500 milar survival blankets to help our unhoused friends make it through the winter. We hand them out from late October until the end of April. We’ve got 10 wool blankets and approximately 30 survival blankets left and we’ll get them out tomorrow. Read more

April Has Been Another Busy Month

Balmy Weather
We went to Veteran’s Park this morning. We usually meet an older bunch of unsheltered people there. The weather was a balmy 56 degrees, a welcomed situation for those who live outside in the cold.
