Fighting for Dignity

It’s not easy to maintain a positive attitude when you’re living outdoors dealing 24/7 with danger, harassment,
uncertainty, hunger, and adverse weather conditions.
Being unhoused can make anyone sour, tense, or prickly. It is a tough spot to be in. It can make anyone feel overwhelmed and shamed. And it can make people fear being seen.
Instead of taking a homeless person’s negative attitude personally look at it as a signal that they’re using to let people know that they’re fighting to preserve something that is constantly being taken from them – their dignity.
