Imagine the isolation and loneliness that comes with being addicted and chronically homeless.
To say “we are our brother’s keeper” is to affirm that we have a duty to care for others, especially those within our reach or community.
It’s a call to:
– Look out for one another’s well-being
– Act with empathy and compassion
– Take moral responsibility, even when it’s inconvenient
– Stand up for the vulnerable or voiceless
